# Blueprint is closing on December 1, 2026

> Blueprint, the Calcs.com community forum, closes on December 1, 2026. What it means for you and what to do before then.

Blueprint, our community forum at blueprint.calcs.com, closes on December 1, 2026.

## Does this affect me?

<Note>
  If you have never posted on Blueprint or logged in to it, nothing changes for you. Your account, your subscription, and your calculations are not affected. You can stop reading here.
</Note>

If you have posted on Blueprint, there are two things worth doing before December 1. Export anything you want to keep, and bookmark the places those conversations move to.

## Why we are closing it

Blueprint gave engineers a place to ask questions, report bugs, and suggest calculators. Most of those questions now reach us faster through support and the Calcs.com docs, where the whole team sees them rather than whoever happens to be watching the forum. Running a second place to ask meant slower answers in both. We would rather answer well in one place.

## Common questions

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="Does this change my subscription or pricing?">
    No. Blueprint was a free community forum, separate from your Calcs.com subscription. Nothing about your plan, seats, or billing changes.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Will my Calcs.com login still work?">
    Yes. Your Calcs.com account is unaffected. Blueprint ran on separate forum software with its own profile.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I read old Blueprint threads after it closes?">
    No. From December 1 the forum and its posts are no longer accessible, and blueprint.calcs.com will redirect to [calcs.com/docs](https://calcs.com/docs). If there is a thread you rely on, export your data or save the page before then.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens to the feature requests I posted on Blueprint?">
    Previously logged requests have been provided to our engineering team for review. If you had a request open on Blueprint and want to know where it got to, email [support@calcs.com](mailto:support@calcs.com).

    To request something new, see [Requesting a calculator or new feature](/docs/blueprint/requesting-a-calculator).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there a new community to replace Blueprint?">
    No, there is no replacement for Blueprint as a community, however there are a number of places you can visit to access similar content, you can view them [here](/docs/blueprint/where-things-move).
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="I was part of the ITI Australia or Calcs Builder group on Blueprint. Does this affect me?">
    Those groups close on December 1 along with the rest of Blueprint. If you were part of one and are not sure where that work continues, email [support@calcs.com](mailto:support@calcs.com) and we will point you to the right contact.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What happens to my Blueprint data after it closes?">
    Blueprint's content and member accounts are deleted after closure. We keep a single secure copy for 30 days after December 1, only so we can help anyone who missed the export deadline. After December 31, 2026, Blueprint data is permanently deleted, including our forum provider's backups.

    If you want a copy of your own posts, export them before December 1. See [Exporting your Blueprint posts](/docs/blueprint/export-your-posts).

    If you would prefer your data deleted immediately rather than at the end of the 30 day window, email [support@calcs.com](mailto:support@calcs.com) and we will action it.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Who do I ask about the closure itself?">
    Email [support@calcs.com](mailto:support@calcs.com) or open the chat inside Calcs.com. We will answer questions about the closure both before and after December 1.

Thanks to everyone who posted, answered, and argued about load paths on Blueprint over the years. Those conversations shaped calculators that are in the product today.
