# How to Install the CalcsCAD Plugin

## Getting Started

### System Requirements

To use CalcsCAD, you must have:

* An active Calcs.com license
* Windows with a 64 bit copy of AutoCAD v17-22 or BricsCAD v17-21 with the Calcs.com CalcsCAD Automatic Framing Tool Plugin installed

### Installing the CalcsCAD Plugin

The CalcsCAD plugin is currently in closed testing. To get access to the plugin for AutoCAD or BricsCAD, please send a request to [help@calcs.com](mailto:help@calcs.com) and we will send a copy of the installation files.

#### Installing in AutoCAD

Unzip the Calcs.com.Bundle folder into your Application Plugins folder (for example: C:\Users\\{YOURUSERNAME}\AppData\Roaming\Autodesk\ApplicationPlugins\ (if you cannot see the AppData or Roaming folder you may need to [enable showing hidden folders](https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/windows/show-hidden-files-0320fe58-0117-fd59-6851-9b7f9840fdb2#:~:text=Select%20the%20Start%20button%2C%20then,drives%2C%20and%20then%20select%20OK.).). The next time you run AutoCAD you will be prompted to allow the Calcs.com plugin to run, once you approve this, the toolbar will appear in new drawings.

#### Installing in BricsCAD

Unzip the BricsCAD install file and run the installer. The next time you open BriscsCAD, the new Calcs.com toolbar should appear.
