# Getting API Access to CalcsConnect

> How to request access to the CalcsConnect Partner API, what to include in your request, and what to expect next.

The **CalcsConnect** Partner API is not currently self-serve. There is no open developer portal, and API keys can't be generated from your account settings. Access is granted on a case-by-case basis so we can understand what you're building and make sure CalcsConnect is a good fit before we hand over credentials.

## How to request access

To get started, [book an integration call](https://calcs.com/contact) or email the CalcsConnect team through the [CalcsConnect product page](https://calcs.com/connect). Include:

* **What you're building** — a short description of the product, tool, or internal workflow that will consume the API.
* **Which calculations you need** — for example, timber beam design to NDS, wind loads to ASCE 7, or PDF report generation.
* **Region and standards** — the country and code editions you're targeting (IBC, NBCC, AS/NZS 1170, Eurocode, and so on).
* **Expected call volume** — a rough sense of daily or monthly calculation requests, so we can scope the right tier.

## What happens next

Once we've reviewed your use case, the CalcsConnect team will get back to you to schedule an integration call. On that call, we go through the endpoints relevant to your workflow, walk through authentication, and confirm which environment you'll be issued credentials for. API keys are provisioned to your account after that conversation.

## Which plans include API access

CalcsConnect is a separate product from a standard **Calcs.com** subscription. It isn't bundled with the Solo, Team, or Enterprise plans by default. Access and commercial terms are set as part of the integration agreement, so pricing and included call volume are confirmed during onboarding rather than published as a fixed tier.

  If you already have a Calcs.com account, you don't need it to trial CalcsConnect. The API runs against its own credentials, issued separately once your integration request is approved.
