# Create a New Project and Configure Settings

> Create a project, enter its address and details, assign your team, and set units and building standard.

Create a new project by clicking **Create new project** on the homescreen. In the project window you can:

* Enter the **address** and see a preview
* Set **project name**, **project number**, **client name**, and **project date**
* Assign **status** (e.g. Planned)
* **Assign team members** from your organization
* Set **project preferences**: Building standard (e.g. United States) and **Unit System** (e.g. Imperial), which affect your calculator units

When you're done with project details, use the button on that screen to set **project defaults** and create your first calculations.
