CalcsConnect is the structural calculation API from Calcs.com. It lets another product run code-checked calculations, retrieve site design data, manage project workflows, and generate PDF calculation reports. Under the hood, CalcsConnect uses the same standards-aligned engine behind Calcs.com. A calculation returned through the API is checked against the same standards as the same calculation run on Calcs.com directly.

What the API covers

  • Projects. Create and list projects, group calculations under them, and export a project to PDF.
  • Sheets. Create a calculation from a template, update its inputs, and solve it.
  • Calculators. Generic templates, timber beams, and snow load calculations.
  • Site design data. Wind, tornado, snow, and seismic values for a location.
Each of these is documented endpoint by endpoint on the Calcs.com developer portal.

What it is not

CalcsConnect is not a file format or a plugin. It is an HTTP API your product calls at request time. Results reflect the current published version of each calculator, rather than a copy you hold and maintain yourself.
