This category is meant for work to be completed before doing a deep dive into the standard/codes relevant to the template. An initial discussion should be held to clearly define the scope of the template and the expected linear workflow. After the discussion is held, appropriate sprint tickets related to Editor Sectional Work should be created and assigned. Research necessary to do Editor Sectional Work will also fall into this category. Additionally, it would be beneficial to add all base variables to the template first.

Base Variables

Base Variables: Variable, symbols, and values that are typically used across different sections and generally in most engineering practises. For example:
  • Modulus of Elasticity (E)
  • Length
  • Moment of Inertia (X and Y-Axis)
These values typically come from the shared tables.
The idea is that once all Pre-Template Development Work is completed, all tools needed are available and on the table ready to be used for Editor Sectional Work.
