🛠️ Improvements & Fixes
- Snow Loads (ASCE 7-22) and Snow Loads (ASCE 7-16) 🇺🇸: Corrected unbalanced leeward load, balanced snow height, and drift totals to exclude the rain-on-snow surcharge per Section 7.10. Unbalanced and drift results may change.
- Steel Base Plate (LRFD) 🇺🇸: Restricted column selection to I-shaped sections (W, S, M, HP). HSS, round HSS, and pipe columns are no longer available.
- Wind Loads (ASCE 7-22) 🇺🇸: Fixed an issue where Tornado Loads and Effective Area options could be enabled at the same time.
- Project Defaults 🇨🇦: NBCC 2020 and 2025 short-term serviceability combinations now exclude dead load by default, with an option to include it. Short-term deflections in linked calculations may decrease.
- SmartLam GL19C & GL19S Glulam 🇦🇺: Corrected GL19C to use glulam instead of sawn timber properties, fixing unconservative φ, k₉, and f’t values for multi-member bending. Added 14 new GL19S sections.
- Beam Free-Body Diagrams: Fixed continuous spring supports appearing bunched together in imperial units.

🚀 New Features
- HSS to HSS Splice Connection (AISC 360-22 & CSA S16:19) 🇺🇸 🇨🇦: Added optional AISC 341-22 seismic design checks for the Bolted With Welded Gusset splice. Also corrected ASTM A500 Grade C yield strength to 50 ksi, raising column capacities by up to 8.7%, and fixed Shuriken corner clearance for 5/8” and 3/4” bolts, which was passing unconservative designs.
🛠️ Improvements & Fixes
- HSS Beam to HSS Girder Shear Connection (AISC 360-22) 🇺🇸: Corrected flexural capacity for the Hidden shear cut plate and coped beam sections, now about 33% lower using the Section F12 yield moment. Also added coped beam flexural checks, erection fill support, and per-bolt effective strength, and updated weld and through-bolt bearing checks. Existing Hidden, Coped Beam, and Through Bolt & Exterior Plates sheets should be re-checked.
- HSS to HSS Shear Connection (AISC 360-22) 🇺🇸: Fixed an incorrect ASD safety factor on weld shear strength under axial loads, and corrected the Field-Welded Exterior Plate flat-width warning.
- HSS Girt to HSS Connection (AISC 360-22) 🇺🇸: The Unstiffened Seated connection now checks each angle and plate for the largest tension and compression across load combinations, evaluates weld stresses per combination, and adds a third block shear case.
- Chevron Bracing (AISC 360-22 & CSA S16:19) 🇺🇸 🇨🇦: Temporarily disabled the Independent Brace Loads option until unbalanced-load limit states are added. All sheets now solve as Equal and Opposite.
- HSS Steel Base Plate (AISC 360-22) 🇺🇸: Restricted to square and rectangular HSS columns until full round column support is added. Existing round HSS sheets will stop solving and should be re-checked.
- HSS Truss Connection 🇺🇸 🇨🇦: Updated diagrams, and added governing branch axial load arrows to the bolted connection diagram.
- HSS Shear and Moment Connections 🇺🇸 🇨🇦: 3D diagrams now draw HSS walls at nominal thickness, so A500 Grade C sections no longer appear thinner than they are.
Platform Improvements
🚀 New Features
- Reports: Your reports now save automatically as you type, with a status line showing when your work is saved.
- Report Tables: You can now align table text to the top, middle, or bottom of a cell.
- Report Links: You can now open a link from the keyboard with Alt+Enter, or from the new Open link button in the link toolbar.
- Report Images: You can now type a caption straight under a new image instead of filling in a separate dialog, and insert images with the
/imagecommand. - Starred Projects: If you have more than five starred projects, you can now page through them on the Home page.
- Project Cards: You can now star or unstar a project straight from its card on the Home page.
- Atlas Tube Home: Atlas Tube users now see connection detail cards on the Home page that open straight into the Details Library.
- US Spelling: US-based organizations and Atlas Tube users now see US spelling, such as “organization” and “favorite”, across the new layout.
🛠️ Improvements & Fixes
- Projects: Fixed an issue where opening a project in a new tab could leave you stuck on an error page until you logged out.
- Archived Projects: Fixed a crash when opening an archived project.
