1. Invite Your Team
You can add as many users as you like during your free trial, so before you start calculating, add your team to Calcs.com. Users with separate logins can:- Create projects
- Access projects created by your team
- Explore our calculator library
- Run their own calcs
- Review someone else’s work
- Export calculations and reports
- Within Calcs.com, navigate to Settings > Manage Users.
- Add your team members by email address, and select their role:
- Admin: full access including user management
- Member: create & edit calculations
- Click ‘Send Invite
- Repeat for all users.

2. Create Your First Project
Think of a project as a job file that organizes multiple structural design calculations (beams, columns, footings) tied to any name, job number, or address you like in one place.- Create unlimited projects during your trial
- Organize calculations by job, client, or any system that works for you
- Configure project settings and defaults
Click the ‘Create a New Project’ button on the home screen. This will take you to the project details screen where you can specify a project name and address and start creating calculations. On the Project Details screen, you’ll also see boxes for project defaults and preferred sections - these are great time-saving features. Once you’ve created your first project and given it a name, you’re ready to create your first calculation!

3. Add Calcs to Your Project
Once you’ve created your project, it’s time to explore the calculator library and add your first calculation.- From your project, select Add new calculation to explore our calculator library and add calculations
- Start from templates, examples, or build from scratch
- Use calculations for beams, columns, footings, concrete design, steel design, and much more

4. Link a Load
No more copy-paste, in Calcs.com you can link loads between calculators. Use load linking to connect structural member reactions directly to supporting members, keeping your design in sync automatically. For example, create a wood column and link it to the reactions from a wood beam: in the column’s load section, under Lateral movement loads, click Link, select the beam (and the support location), and the column will use those reactions. Clicking the linked label takes you back to the source calculator. If you change the beam (e.g. increase loads), the column updates automatically—no refresh needed. What you can do:- Link reactions from one calc to loads in another
- Update a member and automatically propagate changes downstream
- Build models that stay consistent throughout your design

5. Export a Calc Report
