Every calculation in Calcs.com is built by engineers who've done the work: running the numbers, defending them in review, and redoing them when something changed. The standard sits inside the calc, with the full working shown, so it holds up under review.

How it all started
Calcs.com was founded in 2016 by Chris Borzillo and Steven Robinson. Chris had watched structural engineers waste hours jumping between different tools just to finish one design. Steven, our technical co-founder and head of development, knew software could solve it. So together they built it.
What began as a fix for one frustrating part of the job grew into something much bigger: a way to change how engineers everywhere handle their calculations.

Finding a better way to engineer smarter
Our platform gives engineers access to a growing library of code-compliant calculators covering structural steel, concrete, timber, and more. Engineers can run instant code checks, customise templates, and package their calculations for client review.
Every calculator shows its full working - inputs, formulas, and the code provision it's checking against. Engineers stay in control; the platform removes the rebuilding.

In the last 12 months, engineers created more than 81,000 projects on Calcs.com, across more than 80 countries. Our team works across Melbourne, Australia; Toronto, Canada; and Bogota, Colombia - bringing together structural engineering expertise, software craftsmanship, and a shared belief that better tools make for safer buildings.
