About this event
This is part 3 of Demystifying Loads: 2024 IBC Chapter 16 and ASCE 7-22, a seven-part series with the International Code Council (ICC). The series covers the proper evaluation of structural loads under the 2024 International Building Code (IBC) and the IBC-referenced ASCE/SEI 7-22 Minimum Design Loads and Associated Criteria for Buildings and Other Structures. Each session gives an overview of the topic, the changes in the 2024 IBC and ASCE 7-22, and worked examples that show how the provisions apply.
This session covers the determination of flat roof, sloped roof, unbalanced roof and drift snow loads on a variety of flat and sloped roofs, plus the provisions for atmospheric ice loads. It includes a worked example using the Snow Loads (ASCE 7-22) calculator in Calcs.com. Join John "Buddy" Showalter, P.E. on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, from 3:00 to 4:30 PM EDT.
All registered attendees will receive a recording of the webinar after the event.
